Almost all cervical cancers are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), a common virus that can be passed from one person to another during sex. Early on, cervical cancer may not cause signs and symptoms. Advanced cervical cancer may cause abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge. This may be a sign of cancer of something else. To know for sure, it’s important to make an appointment to see your doctor.
The CDC has created a Gynecologic Cancer Symptoms Diaries to help track possible symptoms over a two-week timespan, which can be found online here: https://www.cdc.gov/…/kno…/pdf/cdc_gyn_symptomsdiary.pdf
